Get Assistance with the application process for enrolling in New York’s PCA Family Caregiver Program. The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) program is part of New York’s Medicaid home care services. It enables elderly or disabled individuals to receive support with daily activities at home, often from a certified PCA caregiver of their choice, including some family members. If you’re interested in caring for a loved one and receiving payment for your efforts, we are here to help.
📝 How the PCA Application Process Works
Our team supports you every step of the way:
- Check Eligibility
Fill out the form, and we’ll review whether you and your loved one qualify. - Apply for Medicaid
We help with the application if your loved one isn’t already enrolled. - Schedule the Required Assessment
Medicaid will conduct a professional evaluation (in person or by phone/video) to determine how much care your loved one needs. - Get Certified as a PCA
If you’re eligible to provide care, we offer same-day PCA certification, and no experience is required.
💵 Pay Rates Based on Location:
- $19.10/hour – New York City (all five boroughs)
- $17.55/hour – Upstate NY and surrounding counties
👨👩👧👦 Who Can Be a Paid PCA Family Caregiver:
You may qualify to provide care as a PCA if you are the care recipient’s:
- Sibling
- Grandchild
- Cousin
- Niece or nephew
- Close family friend
- Borther-in-law and sister-in-law
Not eligible: Sons, daughters, spouses, sons/daughters-in-law, or legal guardians.
